We understand that choosing childcare is one of the most significant decisions a parent will ever make. Our program is intentionally designed as a boutique, small-cohort early childhood learning environment located at 88 Carnegie Ave, East Orange, NJ. In strict adherence to New Jersey Department of Children and Families (NJ DCF) Family Child Care regulations, our program is capped at a maximum of 5 children total at any one time so that Director Kerryann Koonjoo and our educators can provide dedicated, nurturing, and developmentally tailored care for every child.

Request a Private Tour or Introductory Call
Begin by submitting an online tour request or calling us directly at (718) 350-9795. Tell us about your child's age or expected birth date, desired enrollment start date, and preferred days of care.
Meet the Provider & Tour Our Learning Environment
Tour our facility at 88 Carnegie Ave in East Orange, meet Director Kerryann Koonjoo, observe our play-based learning stations, and review daily schedules, nap and feeding routines, health practices, tuition rates, and cohort availability.
Complete the Registration Packet & Health Records
Review and sign the family handbook, enrollment agreement, and emergency release authorizations. Submit state-mandated health documentation including the Universal Child Health Record and current immunization history.
Confirm Placement & Activate Family Portal
Confirm your official start date directly with the Director. We provision your secure Family Portal login credentials so you can view real-time check-in status, send morning notes, and enjoy daily photos as your child begins their educational journey!
Required Registration Documents
State of New Jersey registration and health standards require the following records prior to attendance:
- State of NJ Universal Child Health Record completed by pediatrician
- Up-to-date immunization records or valid medical exemption
- Documented food allergies, dietary restrictions, or medication action plans
- Emergency contact phone numbers (at least two adults)
- Authorized pickup list with government-issued photo ID requirement
- Parent consent forms and signed family child care agreement
Submitting an online tour request initiates direct communication with our team; it does not reserve an appointment or guarantee placement. Tuition rates, schedule availability, and cohort placement are confirmed directly with each family during the admissions consultation.
State of New Jersey Mandated Disclosures
Under the NJ DCF Manual of Requirements for Family Child Care Registration (N.J.A.C. 3A:54-5.6), all registered providers must inform parents of the following state rights and standards:
Parents and legal guardians have the unrestricted legal right under N.J.A.C. 3A:54-5.6(a)1 to visit the home and observe their child at any time without prior notice during normal operating hours.
Parents have the right under N.J.A.C. 3A:54-5.6(a)2 to inspect our NJ DCF Certificate of Registration (# FCC130186) and any annual evaluation or inspection reports issued by our sponsoring agency.
Our registration is monitored by Programs for Parents, Inc. (Essex County's designated child care agency). Parents may contact them for registration verification, inquiries, or regulatory questions at 570 Broad St, 8th Fl, Newark, NJ 07102 • (973) 297-1114.
Any person who has reasonable cause to believe a child has been subjected to abuse or neglect is required by state law (N.J.S.A. 9:6-8.10) to report it immediately to the NJ DCF State Central Registry (SCR) 24/7 hotline at 1-877 NJ ABUSE (1-877-652-2873).
Under N.J.A.C. 3A:54-6.8, corporal punishment, abusive or humiliating language, withholding meals/rest, or punishment for toilet training accidents is strictly prohibited. We practice positive redirection, gentle coaching, and emotional regulation.
Under N.J.A.C. 3A:54-6.4, all infants under 12 months are placed to sleep on their backs in state-approved cribs/playpens with a firm mattress and tight-fitting sheet. Blankets, pillows, bumper pads, and soft toys are strictly prohibited in sleeping areas.
Annual Influenza Immunization Mandate (N.J.A.C. 8:57-4.19): The New Jersey Department of Health requires all children aged 6 months through 59 months attending registered child care to receive at least one dose of the influenza vaccine between September 1 and December 31 of each year.
